Who can
ever estimate the value of friends and fellow helpers in the
work of the Gospel?
When
Paul was in the thick of his missionary journeys he spoke
of having ‘little rest… being ‘troubled
on every side’ and even at times he was ‘cast
down’. It was in that context that Paul went on to say
that it was then that “God, who comforts those that
are cast down, comforted (encouraged) him by the coming of
Titus” (2 Cor. 7:6). Paul was encouraged by the ‘Titus
touch’. Titus’ arrival not only encouraged Paul
by having a companion at his side, but also by the affirmation
that Titus gave. He informed Paul that many were praying for
him and supporting his ministry.
We all need the ‘Titus touch’ in our lives and
in the Lord’s work. Our missionaries and national workers
experience are not exempt from the frequent ‘ups and
downs’ common to all of us. We are, therefore, grateful
for all those who play a ‘Titus role’ in the ministry
of Acre International.
Your continued support for the work and the affirmation that
you stand with our workers in this ministry of the Gospel
encourages us to know that ‘our labour is not in vain
in the Lord’.
